Initial Setup:

1. Preparation:

   • Calculate Dosage: Determine the amount of Seachem Clarity needed based on the volume of water being treated. The standard dosage is 1 capful (5 mL) for every 80 liters (20 US gallons) of water.

2. Application:

   • Add to Aquarium: Pour the calculated dose of Seachem Clarity directly into the aquarium. Upon adding Clarity, you will see a cloudy haze begin to form. This is normal and indicates that Clarity is beginning to work.
   • Ensure Filtration: Make sure your aquarium has a filter with mechanical filtration (e.g., filter floss) to remove the clumped particles. This is essential for Clarity to work effectively.

3. Observation:

   • Initial Cloudiness: The water may become cloudier initially as Clarity causes tiny particles to clump together. This is a sign that the product is working.
   • Rapid Clarification: Within 1-2 hours, you should see significant improvement in water clarity as the clumped particles are removed by the filter.

Maintenance:

1. Regular Use:

   • Frequency: Seachem Clarity can be used as needed to maintain clear water. If cloudiness persists, you may re-dose every 24 hours.
   • Dosage: Use the standard dosage of 1 capful (5 mL) for every 80 liters (20 US gallons) of water.

2. Filter Maintenance:

   • Clean Filter Media: After the water clears, clean or replace the filter floss or cartridge to remove the trapped particles. This helps maintain optimal filtration efficiency.
   • Monitor Filter: Check the filter regularly to ensure it is not clogged with debris. Replace or clean the filter media as needed.

3. Water Quality Monitoring:

   • Test Parameters: Regularly test your aquarium water for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and pH levels. This helps ensure that the water quality remains optimal for your fish and plants.
   • Adjustments: If you detect any water quality issues, take appropriate measures to correct them, such as performing water changes or adjusting filtration.

4. Storage:

   • **Keep Seachem Clarity in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the cap is tightly closed to prevent contamination.

   Yes, Clarity is safe for use in reef tanks and will not harm corals or other invertebrates.

3. Do I need to turn off my filter when using Clarity?
   No, but ensure you have mechanical filtration (e.g., filter floss) to capture the clumped particles.

You may return most new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
