Flourish Nitrogen

Initial Setup:

1. Preparation:

   • Shake Well: Before using Seachem Flourish Nitrogen, shake the bottle well to ensure the ingredients are evenly mixed.

2. Calculate Dosage:

   • Determine Volume: Calculate the volume of water in your aquarium. The standard dosage is 2.5 mL (half a cap) for each 160 liters (40 US gallons) of water.

3. Application:

   • Add to Aquarium: Pour the calculated dose of Seachem Flourish Nitrogen directly into the aquarium. For smaller doses, note that each cap thread is approximately 1 mL.
   • Frequency: Dose twice a week or as needed in response to signs of nitrogen deficiency, such as stunted growth or chlorosis (yellowing of leaves).

4. Initial Dosing:

   • New Tank Setup: Add Seachem Flourish Nitrogen to the aquarium when setting up a new tank to provide an immediate source of nitrogen for plants.

Maintenance:

1. Regular Dosing:

   • Frequency: Continue to dose Seachem Flourish Nitrogen twice a week to maintain optimal nitrogen levels for your plants.
   • Mixing: Shake the bottle well before each use to ensure even distribution of nutrients.

2. Water Changes:

   • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular water changes to maintain water quality. During water changes, continue to dose Seachem Flourish Nitrogen to replenish any nitrogen lost.
   • Dosage: Use the standard dosage of 2.5 mL (half a cap) for each 160 liters (40 US gallons) of water.

3. Monitoring:

   • Test Nitrogen Levels: Regularly test your aquarium water for nitrogen concentrations using a reliable test kit. This helps ensure that the nitrogen levels remain within the optimal range for plant growth.
   • Adjustments: If nitrogen levels are too low, increase the dosage of Seachem Flourish Nitrogen. If nitrogen levels are too high, reduce the dosage accordingly.

4. Signs of Nitrogen Deficiency:

   • Chlorosis: Look for yellowing of tissue between veins, particularly in new growth.
   • Stunted Growth: Observe for short and slender stems, which can indicate a lack of nitrogen.

5. Storage:

   • Keep Seachem Flourish Nitrogen in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the cap is tightly closed to prevent contamination.

1. Isn’t ammonia bad for my tank?
   Ammonium and ammonia are not the same. No free ammonia is released because the ammonium in Flourish Nitrogen is complexed and only available to plants.

2. Why does Flourish Nitrogen have two forms of nitrogen?
   Most plants prefer ammonium, but some benefit more from nitrate. Flourish Nitrogen provides both forms to cater to all plant needs.

3. How often should I use Flourish Nitrogen?
   Use twice a week or as needed based on plant health and signs of nitrogen deficiency.

4. Available Sizes?
   100ml, 250ml & 500ml

You may return most new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
