Usage Instructions

Initial Setup:

1. Preparation:

   • Remove Invertebrates: Before starting treatment, remove all invertebrates from the tank as they are highly sensitive to medication.
   • Turn Off Filters: Disable UV filters, ozone filters, and remove chemical filtration media like MatrixCarbon and Purigen.

2. Dosing in Water:

   • Measure Dosage: Use the included scoop to measure KanaPlex. The recommended dosage is 1 scoop per 20 liters (5 gallons) of water.
   • Administer: Add the measured KanaPlex directly to the aquarium water.
   • Repeat: Repeat this dose every 48 hours for a maximum of 3 doses. For severe infections, a second round of treatment can be administered after a 3-day break, provided the fish show no signs of stress.

3. Dosing in Food:

   • Prepare Medicated Food: Mix 1 scoop of KanaPlex with 1 scoop of Seachem Focus and 1 tablespoon of food (preferably pellets or frozen food). Add a few drops of water if using dry food.
   • Enhance Palatability: Optionally, add Seachem GarlicGuard or Entice to improve the taste.
   • Feed: Feed the medicated food daily until the infection clears or for up to 1 week. Store the medicated food in the refrigerator or freezer between feedings.

1. Post-Treatment:

   • Remove Medication: After completing the treatment, use activated filter carbon like MatrixCarbon to remove any remaining medication from the water.
   • Monitor Fish: Observe your fish for any signs of stress or recurring infection. If necessary, repeat the treatment after a 3-day break.
