Initial Setup:

1. Rinse the Substrate:

   • Thoroughly rinse Seachem Meridian to remove any residual dust. This helps to minimize initial cloudiness in the aquarium.

2. Add the Substrate:

   • Spread the rinsed Meridian evenly across the bottom of the aquarium to create a substrate bed.

3. Fill the Aquarium with Water:

   • When adding water to the aquarium, fill slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate bed. A helpful tip is to place a bowl in the aquarium and pour water into the bowl, allowing it to overflow gently onto the substrate.

4. Clear Initial Cloudiness:

   • Initial cloudiness is normal. To accelerate clearing, use mechanical filtration (such as filter floss) and consider adding Seachem Clarity to the water.

Maintenance:

1. Regular Monitoring:

   • Regularly check and maintain optimal water parameters, including calcium, alkalinity, and pH levels, to ensure a stable environment for your aquatic life.

2. Water Changes:

   • Perform regular water changes to maintain water quality. This helps to remove any accumulated waste and replenish essential minerals.

3. Substrate Cleaning:

   • Periodically clean the substrate using a gravel vacuum during water changes. This helps to remove detritus and prevent the buildup of harmful substances.

4. Supplementation:

   • Consider using additional supplements like Seachem Stability to enhance the biological filtration and overall health of your aquarium.

1. Can Meridian be used in freshwater aquariums?
   Yes, Meridian is suitable for both freshwater and marine aquariums.

2. How much Meridian should I use for my aquarium?
   Use the Seachem Project Calculator to determine the number of bags needed based on your aquarium’s dimensions and desired substrate depth.

3. Will Meridian affect my aquarium’s pH?
   Meridian helps stabilize pH by providing a natural source of calcium and magnesium, preventing large pH declines.

You may return most new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
