• Add 3 g (1 teaspoon) of Seachem Reef Kalkwasser to 4 L (1 US gallon) of freshwater (preferably RO/DI water).
• For a fully saturated solution, use 6 g (2 teaspoons) per 4 L.
• Stir until dissolved; allow the mixture to settle.
• Use only the clear solution (supernatant): Avoid adding undissolved material to the aquarium.
• Drip method: Introduce the solution slowly into the tank, preferably using a dosing pump or drip system.
• Monitor parameters: Regularly check pH and carbonate alkalinity to maintain stability.

• Frequency: Dose daily or as needed based on evaporation rates and calcium/alkalinity consumption.
• Dosage rate: Adjust the drip rate to maintain a stable pH between 8.3–8.4.
• Monitoring: Regularly test calcium, alkalinity, and pH levels to ensure optimal conditions.
• Storage: Keep the kalkwasser solution container tightly closed when not in use to minimize exposure to air, which can lead to calcium carbonate precipitation.

Q: What is Seachem Reef Kalkwasser?
A: It's a high-purity calcium hydroxide supplement used to maintain calcium and alkalinity levels in reef aquariums.

Q: Can I add kalkwasser powder directly to my tank?
A: No. Always dissolve it in freshwater and use only the clear solution to prevent pH spikes and precipitation.
